Dashcam footage shows Stavius Gordon flipping through the air after his KTM motorcycle smashed into a silver Audi car as it turned off Ditton Lane in Cambridge.
The 31-year-old, of HMP Peterborough, lost a toe in the collision which happened just before 6pm on September 9 2022.

It is obvious the motorbike was traveling too fast (compare the speed of other vehicles in his lane) and was not paying attention.
The press release on this case claims the Court found that the Motorcyclist was totally at fault and pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Cambridge Crown Court, after initially denying he was the cyclist. He also had no insurance and only a provisional licence. He was fined £120 and had 9 points on his licence. I understand that he has since been jailed for two years for intimidating an ex-partner.

That T-junction has no traffic light. Because there is no traffic light, the fault is not on the rider or the driver. The "fault" is on the authority being in charge of the area.
Yes, the motor cycle rider was speeding but he got done and not the car driver? Police. Courts, government etc always want to blame speed for everything.
Poor drivers and idiots always want to blame speed for everything. Just look at the 20mph limit in Wales. The people that implemented it are probably the sort of drivers that don't pay much attention when driving. I witness the bad driving everyday and at 20mph they idiots can get away with nearly anything because the good drivers can avoid them easier. How about just keeping the poor drivers and idiots off the roads?
A competent driver would have easily seen that motorcyclist. The driver would have probably said look at this idiot on the bike but would not have caused this crash.
i hope car driver got fined and points as they shouldn't of turned till it was defo safe to do so and cutting the corner which is breaking the law as your on the wrong side of the road your entering and the amount of idiots do it to me annoys me because they to lazy to take a turn properly

As a motorcyclist, you should ALWAYS drive defensively, also because your braking distance is ALWAYS much longer than that of a car.
I was a bit surprised to see the motor cyclist has been fined , I must admit driving with out insurance has not helped him with the Police, I was still shocked as the Audi caused the incident through poor driving skills and lack of awareness.
Just reconsidered buying a KTM. MT07 will not go on fire like this.

Person driving car she be led to woods legs and arms broken and left out for the animals. My brothers dad was just paralyzed from neck down from some poor excuse of a person doing the same thing.
Should be banned for life and cover all the bikers costs.
We should not be giving condolences to a career criminal. Pled guilty for distributing indecent photos, receiving 225 hours community service. Then a few years on robs thousands from hard-working people, gets released from jail. Few years on, smashes his ex-girlfriends window after being salty she left him (he had no insurance then) gets relased again from prison and is stupid enough to still drive around without insurance.
Hope the dog survived.
