And so the day comes when you reach the end of the line. All good things must come to an end and I couldn’t imagine a more amazing road to take me there. Nordkapp (The North Cape) is a magical place when the weather is calm. This road should be on everyones bucket list. I hope you enjoy the conclusion to this series. Next up the Journey Home.

    1. Hey Matthew,
      what an incredible journey!
As soon as the borders open again, I will book a flight to Oslo and travel through Norway by bike.
I had the idea for this before I discovered your channel. But I can certainly say that you gave me the motivation I needed for all the planning.
      Thank you
      Greetings from Berlin 🙂

    2. Wow! what you said really hit me in the gut. I think being sensible is somehow limiting and keeps you stuck in your own comfort zone. But when you try to push beyond your comfort, it challenges your courage and determination. And in this case you succeeded. I enjoyed watching your videos, I laughed so hard when you throw in some punch lines. Thank you for being such an inspiration. It sparked a little fire in me to travel here in Norway with my bike. Congratulations. Whew! This comment was too long😄😄🚵🏽🙏🏼

    3. Thanks Matthew! I have really enjoyed your journey, the landscape, your professional filming and not to forget your great comments! These videos have giving my COVID lunch breaks a meaning! Looking forward to your next adventures!

    4. Thank you for sharing this incredible journey! I think cycling is the perfect pace to experience nature in all its beauty. I think I'm gonna have to rewatch the whole trip in one go now

    5. Well Matthew, all is said in the previous commentaries. Congrats on a wonderful and inspiring journey. The Norwegian Ministry of Tourism should definitely look you up.

    6. What an bl00dy awesome journey (sorry about the bag language).
Really inspiring stuff, great to see the highs as well as the lows – makes the trip even more believable.
Enjoyed watching the videos you posted. Thank you.

    7. Thank you! As for 1100cc engine — I barely have words how I hate all those people. I just finished short trip basically ruined by those alike. So my answer is less gentle than yours, Matthew — yes, riding with engine is easier, but the cost of the journey is shifted to others — moto guys expect fresh air, peace, nice views, but they bring noise, fumes and danger (how many animals I saw killed by those with "1100cc engine"…). Every lake, river, or city I visited were polluted with cars and motorbikes, there was no single place when you could sit down and enjoy the peace of the moment. So it it is not just a preference similar what you prefer — ice-cream or chips. It is a matter of respect for other people. If you go to places just to be a burden, better stay at home.

    8. Did the same trip 15 years ago with my life. Startet in Grenaa – Denmark. We rode the last section in rare blue sky (like you) and saw the midtnightsun from the top. Good memory. Thank you for sharing tour trip with us.
      Greetings from Silkeborg

    9. You are Awesome Matthew… Your journey is so inspiring and the commentaries are On Point… Kudos to you 👌👍✌️😁 hope to meet you sometime in Oslo 😉 god sommer 😉

    10. Another excellent motivational video. Sadly, the day I visited Nordkapp (not by bike) I couldn’t see a thing for mist. I’ll just have to go there by bike!!

    11. Thank you for the inspiration yet again and I hope you'd be safe on your future journeys! I am planning to move to Norway in the near future, it would be a privilege to give you at least a little wave if we cross our paths.

    12. Thanks for another great film. The end of your film resonates with me as we've just finished an 11 day off-road bike packing trip to Cape Wrath in Scotland. After the rhythm of the ride it's strange being back in the real world! 🙂

    13. Fantastic series Matthew…and what a breathtaking journey!! There are not enough exclamation marks out there to justify such beauty…. All the time it takes you to film and share this with everyone makes it all the more challenging for you, and I imagine also helps keep you focused.
I can very much relate to your comments throughout the series about pain, risk, and reward from my own little juants down under. Very inspiring mate, well done, and I am looking foward to watching you're next epic…

    14. Wow. How inspiring.. you've seen more of my country in a month then I have in 18 years!
I'm planning on doing something similar, but rather with a little sail boat up the coast.
The tunnels are just to much for me, unbearable.
Thank You for sharing your crazy adventure.

    15. Thanks for the journey. Great stories and told well.
Is there an advantage going nth- south compared to south to north?
Again thanks loved all the episodes.

    16. Bike touring is to motorcycle touring, what motorcycle touring is to car touring. Each incrementally brings you closer to earth and the world in which we live.

    17. Clearly late to the party but having now found your channel and watched this series back to back I must congratulate you on a amazing ride and quality video production, living in Stavanger I'm really inspired to strap the tent on my bike and do some longer routes.. though cant see the family sanctioning disappearing for a month!!

    18. Ah but did you get to Knivskjellodden? That's the point you can see in the drone shot at 8:40.
When I went to Nordkapp (admittedly not by bike) there was no way I wasn't going to take that 9km (each way) walk to get to the most northerly point. I don't know how the track would be by bike, but I'd have had to try it if I were you.
If you didn't, well, you'll just have to do it all again 🙂

    19. I so wish I could do something like this. Is an amazing achievement and I’m glad you took us with you. An amazing set of vlogs. Well done sir 🇳🇴👏👏🚵‍♀️

    20. Hi Matthew. Loved the series thanks for sharing. Its confirmed my decision come to Norway next summer.
I know it would never make the edit, but curious as to how you got back to Oslo?

    21. The bike is better… because life is about emotions. Driving a car or motorbike will not provide you with so many moments of supreme delight and total despair and everything in between.

    22. I'm also a biker but I don't share that guy's view on it. Everytime I go uphill and pass a cyclist I get this small sense of cheating. But since I'm also a long distance runner it's not that hard to keep things separated after all. One thing doesn´t mean you can't do the other and to put it simple; it's just two totally different experiences. It's just a matter of choice, what battles you are willing to go through. If I do the Norwegian TET (which I haven't – yet) in three days on my bike (1200cc hah!) it might give me some of that undescribable feeling you get at the marathon finish line, but reaching Dalsnibba from Geiranger won't. There and then I'm just a tourist, like 99% of the crowd up there. Sure, nice view, but I will have accomplished nothing. That feeling of "I did this".
I doubt that guy has ever felt that.

I'm in the planning process for a reasonably extensive trip next year, and even if I'm doing it on a motorcycle your channel is a huge inspiration. I really enjoy the format and your storytelling. I will try to keep away from certain roads and not pollute them with noise and what not. Show respect – get respect!

Anyway, this was one massively impressiv achievement. Glad you made it to the top!

Can't stop thinking about what might have happened if that van wasn't there..

Hats off and thanks for sharing!
