A 21km tour of Paris on Vélib’ city hire bikes with Ray (DCRainmaker) who lived in Paris long enough to know all the really good spots! In just a few kilometers we visit the Champs-Élysées, Notre-Dame cathedral, Cour Carrée, Louvre Museum, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, and finally the Eiffel Tower.

    1. While I brought my bike to France on this trip (sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home) I did not venture to ride in Paris; I’ll have to try it another time.

However, teaching driven in Paris que a bit I can say that if you drive, or ride, with confidence you’ll be fine, if you hesitate they’ll eat you alive.

    2. Great video! We were just in Paris last weekend, TdF weekend, at the end of our 4 day London to Paris challenge “Adam’s Dash”. Francis Cade did a segment on his channel to share & promote what we were doing https://youtu.be/z60896soPy8 Lighting (time of day) looks stunning on this video, talk about the golden hour! Got to say your footage is looking absolutely pin-sharp too. Is that still on the GoPro hero 10? What settings are you running?

    3. Those Velib bikes I think are the best way to see Paris for the cyclist. By foot takes too long, and driving in the city is way too stressful. The ease of renting and returning and seeing all the places I would have missed by car really made the trip unique and memorable!

    4. Great video! Mates, bikes and beautiful cities – new streaming series? 😍 Paris part 2 – DC and Llama ride double on a scooter 🤣

    5. A bit concerned by the growing number of vertical kerbs next to bike lanes. They do little to improve safety & danger to cyclist. 😎

    6. Living in australia now, and having lived in Paris too, I can confidently say that Paris felt safer than Australia on the bike.
Cool video Shane, love the collab between you and Ray. Hope you enjoyed some nice french treats while there 🙂

    7. Fair play, spent 3 days in Paris last week and wasn't brave enough to ride on the roads. Just seemed like chaos which the locals all understood

    8. I don't think that I have ever seen Paris so quiet. But I guess at this time of year, there would be close to zero Parisians still in Paris, just tourists

    9. When I was a naive kid in my late teens living in outer Sydney suburbs, my friend and I used to go for a yearly ride around the CBD and inner suburbs once a year. Always on our BMX's. Always started mid afternoon and into the night. We used to wonder at the amazing sights, smells, sounds, great food and all the people everywhere. This video brings back the fun feeling of those rides.
