Highlights from stage 3 of the Tour de France 2023. The race heads into France with a 187.4km stage between Amorebieta-Etxano and Bayonne. It’s the first flat stage of this year’s Tour and should see the sprinters fight it out in a hotly-contested finish.

    1. The barriers jutted out so made it look worse than it was..bad barrier design so close to the finish. Blame the organisers for that one I think. Ps..if you have ever rode a bike you tend to not openly leave gaps for riders to pass you

    2. Stupid geography question. At 0:36 there is a map of France. On the bottom left is the basque country. What is the disconnected island bit on the bottom right? Is that Madagascar?

    3. Nothing there… unfortunately every time the brits get involved in sport competitions they like to introduce so many rules, regulations, and red tapes… it is a sad truth. The only saving grace for cycling is that the major races are not in UK so they still retain a level of romantic unpredictable nature.. some in the Uk even propose sprint lanes. You do not need to add much to it…

    4. If Wout hadn't held back and crashed (or almost crashed) Philipsen would've been set back. disgusting inconsintency in the sprint deviations.

    5. Both caleb and Jasper should be relegated. How come nobody talks about Ewan going right to left in the last corner?? A finish to be forgotten and never done again

    6. Why would you tell us before the sprint that Cav only managed to finish in the top ten! You might as well give us the results before you show the race!

    7. I wish the commentators would stop all the boring self-adulating jokey chit chat. Though the Irish champ does not participate. I have to turn sound off. watch FLO and it’s far more professional with Andrew and Nico. Even though GCN agree they are debasing themselves. I watch for the race and the cycling not their silly in-joking?!?!

    8. It's really disgusting to see QAnon Quinn wearing the Stars and Stripes jersey this year. Not well liked by other riders either or the European sporting press. Too bad character isn't taken into consideration for national titles!

    9. Wout could have kept his sprint and let Jasper crash him into the barrier and jasper would have been relegated but Wout was smart and didn’t want to get injured. This was definitely intentional by jasper and he got a hand slap and the victory everyone knows who should have won

    10. S-223 Is a Milestone

Arnold Viersen MP said he presented hundreds of petitions in the House of Commons calling for an end of the forced organ harvesting in China, and for the federal government to do something about it.

      Arnold Viersen MP

MP Viersen also paid tribute to late former Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour’s contribution to the anti-organ harvesting movement.

“He was really the one that is the inspiration for me for working on this issue and he has done a lot of the hard work. This has been over 15 years in the making. It’s a big day for celebration,” he said.

He also commended Falun Gong practitioners from all over Canada for their excellent work in bringing these issues to the attention of all MPs and calling on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to end the live organ harvesting.

When asked about the impact of Bill S-223, Conservative MP Tako Van Popta said that Canadians have always stood up for human rights. “So I think it’s in line with what Canadians think. We love China, but we do want minorities around the world to be protected,” he said.

Cheryl Gallant MP said the passage of S-223 was a milestone.

MP Gallant said that many people were initially indifferent (to the CCP’s live organ harvesting). “Twenty years later, this milestone has finally been achieved.” She said that more and more people are waking up to it and hoping that this horrific practice will end and that the Chinese people will stand up and take their own destiny into their own hands.

Conservative MP Michael Chong said Canada needs to take a stronger approach against authoritarian regimes while standing up for democracy and the rule of law.

“We need to take a stronger stand on defending our values, our belief in democracy, our belief in freedom, our belief in human rights and the rule of law. That begins here at home by passing measures like this bill here today at the House of Commons. It will prohibit people in this country from participating in the terrible practice of organ harvesting, particularly [of] political prisoners,” he said.

Chong, the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, said that after the fall of the Berlin Wall the approach to deepen and broaden ties with authoritarian regimes through trade and investment taken by Western democracies was wrong-headed.
