For the last 6 years I’ve made the trip to @saalbach to ride their famous trails. I love it there, it’s an amazing Mountain Biking Destination and one of the best bike trail parks in Europe. Due to Covid-19, 2020 was the first year I haven’t managed to visit. Having created various pieces there, I thought I’d put them all into one video and talk about what the resort is like, why I love riding there and some of the things you can do, these are ‘My Saalbach Moments.’
Saalbach has always been a big supporter of me and here is hoping in 2021 I’ll be able to make it back and explore more of their amazing trails!
Thanks for watching, any questions please leave them down below!

Anyone in the comments planning to head to Saalbach in 2021? I sure hope we can make it back there for some good times!
Yes, I have to admit it’s really nice there 👍🏻
Loving your videos since GMBN days, bud! I'm glad you're doing well! Great video! 🤘🤘
That looks awesome
The landscape in Saalbach is so beautiful and your riding style is awesome!!!
I have some friends who live in Austria and I'm planning to go there with my spark and my genius !
Couldn't rate this place more!!! A few years ago I saw your piece on GMBN on SH and I was hooked. Then a couple of years later I was fortunate enough to be doing a bucket list trip through the bike parks of Europe and made my way there. One week of the most incredible riding! A great mix of trails that are both "bike-park" and trail. The Hacklberg is one of the most EPIC trails I have ever ridden. The view, the flow and descending into the town is the stuff of daydreams. Hang in there Scotty. Things will come right eventually. Thanks for sharing this place with us.
What card? I couldn't make out what you said or see a link. Thanks
You’re looking rough, man. Are you ok?
In Saalbach-Leogang I prefer Leogang
We really hope to welcome you back again in Saalbach this summer! Fingers crossed!
why you not come and riding in india
I was there only once in 2019, for a week, during the festival, absolutely great stuff. I got the chance to test for free the Ransom and while I said that would be only a dream, one day, 7 months after I bought the Ransom 910 :)) love it. As an average rider I plan next time to go to Italy though – Paganella bike park, looks very appealing. And the Italian food is another level, you can't compare Austria to Italian cuisine 😀 nice video anyway , loved remembering those trails
you should do a trail building video
Thanks for this video! I won't be able to make 2021 due to a fully booked calendar already with the Tetons in Wyoming, Moab, Angel Fire and a few trips to Bentonville (I live fairly close being in Dallas) – but, being from the South of France, when we will be back in Europe in 2 years – we were already planning to visit Germany so I will DEFINITELY be stopping here for a couple days!
Did they change the Joker card? It used to be free lifts all day everyday two years ago..
Hey Scotty , RAD video bro 🙂
Scott bike, Scott Laughland and Scotland, what a coincidence.
Yep I'm here for the 20/21 winter season (job obviously fell through – ho hum) and hoping to be able to find work here and stay longer if/when tourism can happen again… Will just need to pick up my Spark from Germany when the snow melts, until then every day is on 2 planks 🙂
Whos watching this as a xc hardtail rider?
Thank you for this amazing video!!! I love my Ransom too, its such as made for Saalbach 😍 I think that is one of your best videos 🙏🏻 thanks for that !!!
And when can I meet you there ? 🤗🤩
That depends entirely on covid regulations…
Hi Scotty, do you remember this bike you had when you were with GMBN?
https://youtu.be/vyGgsjVi-j8
I was wondering what size frame was it and do you still have it with you? Since you're a Scott sponsored rider, can I know what you do with your old bikes when they get replaced with new ones from Scott?
Also do you think Scott still keep stock of old bikes from 2016-2017? I am planning a dream bike build using a 2016 Scott Genius 700 LT or 2017 Scott Genius 700 Premium frame but with newer components all round, eg Shimano 2×12 XTR. Target weight is below 13kg which you can't get with newer frames these days.
Cheers mate

Hey Mate,
I have a question i also have a scott genius and would like to upgrade the rear suspension. Do you know where i can buy such dampers that have a lockout that fit the twinloc system?
This is literally what i was looking for a trip. Looks like perfect mix of bike park and forest trails. I'm going to be going solo, any recommendations on where to stay? looking to go for a week probably
