LEARN THE SECRETS TO BIKE TRAVEL IN OUR BOOK! https://cyclingabout.com/bicycle-touring-book/

This is the first travel doco we’ve done for a series called “oh, the places you should go” (and hopefully the first of many). We decided to do it for the amazing city of Mostar, in Bosnia and Herzgovina. We are currently riding bicycles around the world from 2012-2014!

Filmed on a compact camera and edited on iPad. 😉

    1. ps: a 16th century Ottoman bridge in the city of Mostar. One of the country's most recognizable landmarks, it is also considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and was designed by Mimar Hayruddin, a student and apprentice of the famous architect Mimar Sinan.

    2. 3. If you are going to mention the war, then you should tell the whole story.  You make it sound as if the war only lasted for 18 months, and the fighting was between the Serb supported JNA army and the Croats.  This only describes what took place in '92 & '93, but the most devastating fighting in the city was between the Bosnian muslims (Bosniaks), who live on the east side of the Neretva river, and the Croats, living on the west side of the river.  During this period, the bridge was destroyed by the Croat army (although their generals have denied it).  Today the city is de facto united, but in reality very much divided between the Bosniak side and the Croat side.  All other sides, including Serb side, are negligible today.  However, the city is peaceful and safe for all visitors.  No one should be afraid to visit the city today, because of it's past during the '90's.

    4. I was in Mostar before 3 years. A very nice croatian city. After Mostar I have visited Neum and Dubrovnik. The last one was breathtaking. Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Greetings from Germany.
