Fantastic video have you ever thought of or done lejog
'old school and attach my mobile phone to the handle bars'…jeez you've not been cycling very long then, old school for me is to look where the sun is in the sky, orientate by the stars, assess the topography or ask a passer by for directions. You can even plant a stick in the ground in you're not in a rush.
