So sit back, relax, and enjoy our beginners guide to the Tour de France. Whether you’re new to watching bike racing, or just need a bit of a refresher, this is the video for you!

    1. I mean it's not an equal sport if they ain't racing against us… but who would want to watch them lose cruelty?

    2. What is the purpose of the breakaway? I’ve often heard it referred to as a team having a rider up there. Of course it is for bonus points per polka dot or green jersey but that doesn’t seem like it’s only purpose

    3. I started learning about cycling and the Tour de France because my partner is a cyclist and he really loves the sport. I like motorsports for a long time and I see some similarities. At first, I didn't know that cycling relies heavily on team dynamics. All along, I thought it was more of an individual effort rather than a team. I appreciate this video a lot!

    4. I started watching the Tour when I was 7. I used to live in Spain and would spend a month of summer vacation with my grandparents, which was religiously watched by them and my mother. We would go to see them arrive and was always so exciting. My idols were Polidor, Luis Ocana, Bernard Hinault, Capucci, Jaja, etc. I still at 62 watch it. Love it for the places crossed, the history, the incredible talent of these guys, it's just unique and nothing comes close to it.

    5. I've followed the TdF since the mid-1960's, when we had to wait two weeks for the Cycling News' to come out. But I enjoyed your presentation, and obviously knew it all already!

    6. May I say something controversial? I have watched all the major winners since Jacques Anquetil, and I would like to say that even though Lance Armstrong was 'Juiced' he put on a 'Great Show' every race, and he was not the only 'Juiced' person in the peloton. Hence I wince every time I see the ******'s for his wins, I saw the races on Sat-TV and he won them. Thx.

    7. You should have opened with how to dope to win. Sorry, but this sport has forever been tainted. Feels like most pro cyclers are either caught doping or about to be.
