Summary:
A lot of people think cycling is boring, but it can sometimes give us crazy, unexpected, funny, and some of the greatest sports moments.
-Dan McLay gave us one of the most epic cycling moments when he out-sprinted everybody. Although it wasn’t at a tour de France stage, but rather a small one-day race in France, but the whole world saw it as it went viral. It was one of the craziest sports moments of 2016.
-Also in 2016, Dafne Fixed used the “superman” position to overtake his colleagues on a descent in Italy. He did it on a fixed bicycle.
-This is a crash that will never see in crash compilation, because there is no video footage of it, and the only thing we have is a still image. In a 2016 Tour de France stage, French rider Julian Alaphilippe was hit by a strong wind gust that lifted him and his bike in the air and threw him against the rocks. Unbelievably, he was able to continue his tour de France with no signs of a crash. This crazy moment reminds us of how dangerous wind can be in a bike race.
-Road bike riders are not known for being good bike handlers, but there are exceptions. Peter Sagan gave us some of the most memorable sports moments, including when he saved himself from imminent crashes. These examples show why is a special bike rider.
-At a 2017 Tour de France stage, we had one of the closest finish margin ever. There is also a strange phenomena can be seen in every photo-finish.
-In the 2002 Tour Down Under. One of the best sports moments took place, when Michael Rogers borrowed a road bike from a fan to win the tour. It was a crazy coincidence that never happened before in pro cycling.
-Most people that were watching the race live didn’t notice what exactly happened to Mark Cavendish’s wheel in this crazy crash in 2010. After the race, this photo was circulating among global cycling networks, and it shows the moment before the disaster.

I tried to make a short documentary about 7 of the most mind-blowing moments in cycling. Leave your suggestions for part 2 👇.

LOL, love to see budgie smugglers come a cropper.
On that last one you can see almosz all of them hotting their heads on the ground. Without helmets that would've been bad.
Wait. A fixed gear? @0:22
I will love longer version of the back story. Like the lance Armstrong or other biker. I really enjoyed thanks you
I prefer cruising. .)
Not going to lie I came for the clickbait thumbnail and expected to click away right after and watched the whole video leaving with a huge amount of interest in something I didn’t care about. Do really bad life threatening accidents happen often in these races?
some profesional csgo players have 120~ ms reflexses
How dare u ban superman
0:21 rip🍆
How is sitting on a bike a particular way an ‘invention’ ? 😂😂😂
cant do superman position due to my penis.
Fantastic video. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just got into watching cycling this Tour and WOW to these amazing athletes. Your video making skills are top notch!
Seeing this you can appreciate Wout's decision not to fight for the finish in Stage 3 when Jasper pushed him to the barrier, doing so he avoided a massive crash
plastic bikes
Okay, the first clip is NOT a demonstration of aerodynamics. The video shows the momentum gain from free-wheeling on a FIXED COG bike. It has no gears and notice how the pedals continue to spin. Remaining clipped in would only slow down the rider.
It gains more speed than the geared bikes due to being lighter (no gears) and more efficient (no derailers etc.) And also because the pedals, allowed to spin, adds more to the back wheels and drivetrain.
Bear in mind that this clip is not from a race either. It's a marketing stunt from a company manufacturing fixed-cog bikes.
I thought this video was going to be low effort/low quality clickbait video. I'm surprised that it was an informative video for someone new to cycling like myself
Very educational and entertaining video! Thanks a lot!

Brilliant stuff. Just found your channel. Quality content. Thank you
exceptional writing and editing, brilliant storytelling
The right guy, in the right place, at the right time, with the right bike, is mind boggling.
Although I do mot race I thoroughly enjoy the advantage of sitting in a chair pedaling my touring recumbent with all the advantages of aerodynamics and speed. At the end of any ride , I have tired muscles but no longer any pains anywhere which is in stark contrast to the 37+ years of diamond frame riding. last couple of years riding a normal bike , the body started to object to what it never objected to before. Thanks to the good Lord above for having an alternative to the diamond frame and giving me comfort and speed again.
adam pyke came from the future
No one will beat Midousuji’s form of sprinting 😂

Extremely well made video. A pleasure to watch
11:49 .. i literally have that exact bicycle shirt . Same one
Lame video
Aw Marco…I'm glad you added him to this amazing video.
Windbreaker brought me here 🙂
… I thought the first one was just a meme. This is ridiculously funny. Why would they ban something so amazing. Also there needs to be an unlimited category. Just anything goes as long as it's human powered and has two or three wheels (three for the fun!).
