Vuelta a España 2023 stage 21 highlights. A 101km flat stage from Zarzuela Hippodrome in the northwest of Madrid to the centre of the capital for a criterium-style finish. The circuit, now a traditional finishing place for the race, features sharp, 180-degree bends in its technical route, as well as long straights – a combination that’s bound to make the racing fast and furious. Which rider will have survived the last week in the best shape to battle it out for one final victory?

    1. Thumbs up for Sepp, he deserves taking home this red jersey for the great job he has been doing during last years. Cycling is also about respect and class.
And what to say about Remco. Almost half of the spectacle of this Vuelta has happened thanks to him, even the spectacular breakaway and victory today on the last stage. What a spectacular rider!!

    2. Congratulations Sepp Kuss and the entire Team Jumbo-Visma on your victory in the Vuelta a Espana. Congratulations on your history forging three Grand Tour wins in one season. Proving you are the best pro-cycling team in the world this season. Congratulations Team Alpecin–Deceuninck, kaden Groves on winning three stages and taking the Green Jersey.

    3. Congratulations, Sepp Kuss! 🇺🇸 As a cycling fan, a CU-Boulder alum, and an American I'm proud of your hard earned racing achievement. That sprint by Groves was impressively long too. He was done before the race was done.

    4. Groves ahead of Ganna. Exactly the expected result. Oh wait, how did this happen???
Thanks to the strong breakaway guys for giving us dramatic final kilometers!

    5. That Jumbo-Visma team kit and Sepp's bike is 🔥🔥🔥 Congratulations TEAM Jumbo-Visma. Three are on the podium but it took eight men to win it. Here's to Robert, Dylan, Jan, Wilco and Attila; the engine room of the team. You all made history. 🟡⚫ 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

    6. Congrats Sepp on a well deserved overall victory! And Ganna was pretty impressive again in the sprint. Gaining, but just a little too late. He reminds me of a certain Fabian Cancellara. Not a true sprinter, but so much TT power.

    7. I often only watch the last few minutes of the last stage of the Grand Tours but I will check up at intervals if anything is happening. Today I checked in just as Evenapol made his break with about 20 miles to go. The composition of the break was fascinating and it showed just what it takes to stay away from the bunch. The highlight for me was seeing Kaden Groves in there because it deprived the bunch of a strong chasing team and it showed that the guys who win bunch sprints aren’t necessarily just sit in sprinters. Take Mark Cavendish’s national title wins for example and how he had to ride without any team support.

    8. What a year of Grand Tours for Kuss 👍😎👊🏻💥 Unreal.
I mean, to go from the Giro to the Tour, ans then to winning the Vuelta…. that's something else.
Sure, perhaps the rumour mill about his performance(s) may run wild. I want, and prefer, to think he did something very special — naturally, of course.

    9. Congrats to all 4 of the jersey winners, they all truly earned it.

A shame Remco blew up early and couldn't push JV for the GC, but it may have cost Kuss if he did so I'm not too sad.

    10. The way Sepp sacrificed himself for the team all season it’s nice to see him get his moment of glory!! The work he put into le tour alone was something to behold!!
