When cycling you must:
    – Stop at traffic lights when required!
    – Stop at pedestrian crossings and zebra crossings!
    – Stop at cycle traffic lights when required!
    – Stop at stop signs and yield right of way at yield signs!
    – Avoid cycling on motorways!

Cyclists can cycle two abreast but under Article 47 of the Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) 1997 Regulations (as substituted by the 2012 Regulations), you must not cycle more than two abreast, except when overtaking and it does not endanger or obstruct other traffic.

Cycling two abreast should only be done in limited circumstances, the officer at the top of the Garda National Roads Policing Bureau Chief Supt Aidan Reid has said. He added cycling two abreast should only occur when safe to do so. And in some locations it should not be done at all.

    1. I see this crap EVERY weekend: they are blocking the entire line or the entire road just because they want to keep chatting while cycling. What is funny here – they all are drivers themselves, but when they swap 4 wheels to 2, they are probably switching off a half of the brain as well and definitely the responsibility fully. All they do just complaining how badly drivers are treating them on the roads. The max cyclist cat get fined is 40! euro 🤯

    2. 😂 and ritely so.uch of a right on the road than driver's. There was bikes on road before cars. Literally had a strong debate about this with the misses,, who doesn't cycle 😡😱🤪😂

    3. They don't give a shiite sure, fxxking tools, straight through red lights and all, cycling 2 and 3 wide taking up the whole road, drive over the cxxts…

    4. Do you real8ze the danger they be in if the just let cars pass them on such a narrow road? Having you behind them tells other drivers coming behind that theres an obstruction aswell, preventing speedsters and reckless drivers from railing them.
