BICYCLE TOURING THE NETHERLANDS: THE NORTH – PART 3 FRIESLAND & FLEVOLAND. Oh, and a shitload of TULIPS !
Early May 2021 I did a small bicycle tour in the North of the Netherlands. This is a part of the Netherlands that I do not know that well. So indeed a small adventure in my own country during Covid times.
This video is about day 3 and day 4 (final day). On day 3 I started in Sneek (Friesland) and crossed the Noord Oost polder and the Flevopolder which make up the province of Flevoland. I entered the “mainland” again at Harderwijk and spend the night at the Village of Lunteren (Gelderland).
On the final day I crossed the 3 major rivers of The Netherlands: Rijn, Waal en Maas.

Yeah was cycling thro the Netherlands in 2018, spring, Tulips everywhere, epic displays of reds and yellows, covering the fields.
Enjoyed watching your North Netherlands video series. Will be enjoying an 18 day cycling tour this March… yes early, but the only time slot that worked. Impressed with the distances you covered in a days travel, particularly given the chilly, windy and rainy weather.
