Cycling around Käpylä Neighbourhood, September 2020, Finland, Helsinki. Käpylä is known for its Puu-Käpylä [‘wood Käpylä’] area that is well known as the earliest example in Finland of the Garden City Movement. The suburb of wooden buildings, designed by Martti Välikangas, was built between 1920 to 1925 and designed in the so-called Nordic Classicism style prevalent throughout the Nordic countries at the time.
Käpylä neighbourhood had also Olympic village for the 1952 Summer Olympics in area called Kisakylä.

Käpylä is gorgeous. This tree in 28:18 is very beautiful. Among with Garden City Movement, the Olympic village for the 1952 Summer Olympics was, or is actually in Käpylä too. And sure -no way for Google Maps to handle this amount of turns :))
Oikein antoisa kiertoajelu entisillä kotikulmilla. Jonkin verran haittasi fillaristin ajoittainen liikennesääntöjen rikkominen (ajoi kiellettyyn ajosuuntaan ja pitkin jalkakäytäviä, HYI!).
