It’s all about the climbs.

The Tour de France is the most prominent cycling race in the world. It’s now in its 109th edition and it’s being called the ‘Highest in History’ because there are more climbs than ever before. This is important because the climbs are where the race is won and lost. The best riders rely on their teammates to get them through the long, flat, and hilly stages, before they take on the mountain stages on their own. These are the hardest and most brutal stages of the race – but they are exactly what makes the Tour de France famous.

Clarification: In our discussion of the 2010 race, our video neglected to mention that Alberto Contador was later stripped of the title because he had tested positive for using a performance-enhancing drug.

Nearly died in a big car, so Id say this is perfectly passable by bike.
Used to watch the Tour de France every year in the 2000s but then all of the doping info was released. The entire peloton was doing it despite being tested regularly. What a scam, haven't given the sport a chance since.
I watch all 3 GTs yearly, and I still watch this video every time it’s suggested.
coz Lance made it look so easy years ago. now no more cheating for today cyclists. 😅
good video but most years the vuelta and giro are more difficult than the TDF though ( just less famous)
Here to see how accurate Yowapeda is to real life lol. I learned literally everything I know about cycling from it, I can already see some things I recognise like team-mates drafting for eachother and that cool bike throw at the finish line. It feels so weird to see real people doing it lool
Why didn't you adres the fact that over 90 percent of all the riders use steroids to enhnce their performance?
Meh, tour of canada harder
The Tour De France is so brutal because of all the steroid cheaters competing….
Lachlan Morton completed the tour whilst cycling between each stage and fully supporting himself, sorted his own meals and slept in a tent, was his own mechanic etc… absolutely heroic
windbreaker reference!!!!!!!!!!
I think calling it “a bike ride” is a slight understatement.
I remember when it went past my house in a small English village in 2014
At this point I’m choosing to believe that the Tour is just an unusual for of torture
That’s why Lance Armstrong has to cheat, riders like him just doesn’t have the mental fortitude and courage to face the challenge and play fair.

The famous "Tour de Dopage".
They started in the basque country this year!!! Proud of the love and support we received from all the participants. They are supermen and deserve the world
OH SO THAT'S WHAT THE TOURMALET STATUE IS!!!! I ALWAYS SEE IT WHEN DRIVING THROUGH THAT AREA BUT I NEVER KNEW WHAT IT WAS!!!! i just knew it as the "funny bike statue", what a guy
It's NOT just who is the one who can endure the most pain. It's a combination of strategy, strength, endurance and genetics as well. But let's not forget it's also about performance enhancing drugs to top it all off.
1:58 "Assassins"
These riders aren’t human
I remember the tours where contador and Schleck were going at it. Around 2010 if I remember right.
