We spotted something interesting down in the Cervélo pits at Nové Mêsto! What are your thoughts on running hardtail full-suspension bikes? 😅

    1. They will use the hardtail set-up for short-track occasionally and change to rear suspension for the cross country.

    2. Im surprised they didnt build it out of carbon and add a little flex. Thats the idea i had back in 2003, to replace just the shock with a curved carbon leaf spring for just a little simple flex suspension on my full sus for really smooth courses, some had extended gravel road climbs.

    3. So…

      Different stages require different setups

The uci state you can't change your frame or triangles between stages.

Tracks that need the hardtail they use this system and then within the rules they can then put a shock back in at the next stage
      .
Its actually just like f1 where everyone looks for marginal gains.

      Thank you

    4. Whats the the difference between have a shock in there or not cant they just lock the compression if they wantbit ridged, bery rarely i lobe mine out on climbing long boring steep hills but apart from that, anyone explain ?
