We took a vacation from our vacation (again) and went to Slovakia to explore Bratislava. We focused on the old town and spent our days exploring everything it had to offer. Our experience with the locals in Bratislava was incredible!! They were right at the top of the kindest, friendliest people in Europe. I was really blown away by the hospitality and genuine nature of the residents. The city was exceptional with it’s old buildings and non-stop street entertainment, which was as well of the best we have ever experienced!!! Three days wasn’t enough to experience it all, so next visit will be longer for sure. Slovakia is a place that more people should know about and visit, five stars from us!!!

    1. Really nice video 🙂
8:57 "So this is the castle" also amused me – it's not the castle but actually only remaining parts of the city fortifications that were saved because they were buried under the houses that were built around in the past. Other parts of the fortification were demolished in the 18th century when the walls lost their importance and they made space for places like where the 2 day folk market event was. The actual castle was on top of the hill across the highway (a scar dividing the old city as a result of a communist city planning).

    2. You paid 13 euros in total for 4 dishes? What? I live in Bratislava and I pretty much pay that price for a single meal whenever I decide to go eat outside. Btw, nice video. You showed me places I didn't even know existed in my own city 😀 Next time you have to visit the "Slovak Pub" though. It's the best place to taste the authentic Slovak food. Maybe a little bit more of the Bratislava castle and also check out the view from the top of the "ufo" tower. These are the classics.
