    1. We all know Pogi is stronger than Jonas. This man is like a horse on roids. It will go down to team work and strategy as what happened in TDF 2022.

    2. Quick translation of the commentary at the end: "… this time it is the number one cyclist in the world, Tadej Pogacar, who at least at first sight, took on his competition with ease; and can be confident in his preparation. (second commentator) Really very convincing, just the last corner left to go, here he already sat up completely and knows he shouldn't take any more risks; carefully through this last corner and just the finish straight left. (first commentator) The test prior to the highest goal of the season, the Tour de France, is complete. Tadej Pogacar is already celebrating his championship title far out from the finish line. In the coming year he will boast with a Slovenian flag jersey. Content he is cheering on the crowd and celebrating. Tadej Pogacar is national champion of 2023, congratulations"

    3. How strong is he? This guy is on another level from the rest, WVA and MVP included. I think he'll slaughter the opposition this year, after realising he needs to be in top shape to deliver. We are in a unique period of pro cycling at the moment with amazing riders and should enjoy it. I can't remember a time when there has been so many amazing riders all competing at the same time, and all around the same age. Thank you, guys!!

    4. Pog is the best overall rider. In the TdF it will come down to one stage pretty much where I can see Vingegaard dropping him. There are not a lot of long climbs with high altitude where I think Vingegaard really is stronger than him.

    5. Is this the finest era of cycling? Pogacar, Roglic, Vingegaard, Van Aert, Van der Pol, Evenepol, Pidcock & a few others are the largest group of exceptional quality pro-cyclists I have ever seen or heard of operating at the same time. (Poga for the TdF though).

    6. I worry about that wrist: people are getting all hyped for TdF, but it's not the kind of race where you can go 90% for the first week and hope to heal a fracture. Either it has healed enough by the start of the race, or I'm afraid we'll see Pog first struggle and then abandon the race. Those first, nervous hilly stages in the Basque country are poison for a healing fracture, if he's not 100% – it's hard for us normal people to understand how many times they have to get grip to accelerate.

    7. The thing is, he was 1 minute and something faster than his previous PB on the national champs TT just a few days earlier, which he won with a ridiculous margin, even at that level of competition. He set his previous PB on the same TT course (an uphill course) before he went and won the Tour for the second time, so if that is to go by, he is in an even better form this year. Not a good sign for competition. But we all can only speculate. I would prefer to see Jonas win. Last year was so good and constantly intense so I hope for the same this year.

    8. Very dangerous racing with that wrist. A crash then he will be feeling it all over. That injury takes time to heal as well. He won’t be 100 percent. If he loses no excuses though because uae knew all the dangers involved.

    9. His hand Will not cope with three weeks riding….it’s too much. One week no problem, three weeks his wrist and hand will scream 😱

Also I never saw Vingegaard first H1 prep that good. The man is now attacking and being more offensive than ever before. Dude is becoming an all out weapon. And he recovers better than Pogi over three weeks. Vingegaard will have the upper hand

    10. I could imagine the tour coming down to time bonuses. Vingegaard doesn't quite have that Pogacar punch, but is incredibly strong in the longer mountain climbs so will be hard to shake . Pogacar needs to contain himself a bit if he wants to win imo. No point winning time bonus/stage x, y and z ( or trying to gain 2 seconds on Vingegaard at every finish line when out of the points), if he blows up in the final week and loses 2 or 3 min's.

    11. it's funny how you have non-pro people say "it's definitely gonna hinder his preparation" and then you have the pros like Thomas, Rowe, Chris Horner going "yeah, probably not gonna change much for him"

    12. For Pogacar to win
      1. He needs to stay calm and realise that his competition is with the TJV and not just JV.
      2. He needs to stay crash free. Any crash could easily aggravate the wrist injury.
