I love the fact that it's hybrid.
Live Dublin bikes but this seems to be a bit daft. Are they going to replace all the bikes to electric?
Great way to do it. The bikes can be both pedal only and power assisted and love that you get your own power pack for it.
Very informative review, as always. Easily replaceable battery pack is a really great idea
Very good system by the sound of it, do they have a walk up and rent service that a tourist would be able to use? Thanks again.
Nice reviewing while riding! Dislike the overall supply is cut in half now for regular users, and not a fan of your own battery either!
Great idea! the change to more than 3 gears is a nice addition also. Maybe I missed it but what kind of range is it expected to get with assistance on?
Also, given the battery is removable – could you potentially share it, or is that restricted somehow?
Pretty good, but would it not have made more sense for them to charge in the stations?
When you're being assisted by the battery what percentage of the effort does it feel like it takes off your hands?
Hi Derek – who owns the battery once you pay the extra €60 and is that €60 extra every year or just first time to buy the battery? Really wish this network was expanded to at least include the universities or tourist hot spots.
It doesn’t even look like an ebike 🙀
Another fantastic review! Thanks Derek!
Great review!
It's a really nice upgrade from Dublin Bike and I hope this would incourage more people to cycle. Looking forward trying it myself.
There's no way of tracking when this yoke will arrive, so missed mine and how do I get my 60 euro back.! As I said, I don't stay in 24 hours washing dishes!

Got on one of these yesterday and didn’t realise I had to have my own battery cycled 2k with the bike resisting my peddling. Unfortunately for me I had no other non ebikes at the station when I picked it up. I’m all on for e bikes but if the bike requires you to buy a battery make no sense especially for inbound tourists. The bike without battery doesn’t cycle like a normal bike. there is far two much resistance and a nightmare to cycle. I’ll stick with the normal for the moment
Used these type of bikes in another city that came with the battery already installed as part of the package… would never have used them if I had to buy a battery seperately.
Can I pay with cash or coins for them ?
Hi can u kindly lock system/ how to lock the bike as well thanks
