      If you haven't been yet, visit the war museum in Minsk. Great deal of machines there and the parts of it regarding the destruction and depopulation of Belarus is moving.

      Regarding google maps, you can do an offline download of a section of map, which will store on your phone. It'll only need GPS and no data and you still get a display of a map. Obviously no traffic info, if you use that. 🙂

      My wife is from Belarus, we got married there. It's a great place, with nice people, but I recommend anybody who's been critical of the regime to not travel there. People disappear after the last election. It's just a sad state of affairs in general. Too bad.

      edit: "These are the protests. At least they do it peaceful now". Uhmm, I don't know what propaganda you've been getting, but the protesters have always been peaceful. It is the regime that sends in AMON (military police) to beat the living shit out of people and make random arrests.

      What is the general situation with regard to freedom in the country?

      EU politicians tell us that a Dictator there suppresses all freedoms of the people.
      I would like to know how free the people are?

      Hello, can i ask you how difficult to go through border Ukraine-Belarus? I live in Sweden and cant fly now but very want vizit this country in the summer.
