Exploring Central Scotland by bike; follow our cycling journey through Central Scotland via Edinburgh and Glasgow!
This leg of the cycle journey saw us drenched and freezing as we navigated the landscape of Central Scotland. We’d left Northern Ireland, and were now cycling north as winter was catching up with us.
With stops in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, and Glashow, we found ourselves off the beaten track in Scotland, battling the elements as we pedalled ever closer to the Schoolhouse cinema in Shetland, and our long-awaited movie date.
The autumn colours and beauty of Scotland’s diverse landscapes made the brutal conditions worthwhile as we cycled north to camp on the shores of Loch Lomand, and then on to Oban. Along the way, we’d learn more about Scottish culture through the people we’d meet. Aside from the pedalling, we’d be treated to whiskey tasting and I even got to try on a Scottish kilt.
Scotland was the final country on our epic cycle touring adventure of the UK, IOM, & Ireland.

This is what is called "type B fun", no fun at the time . but great fun to look back on. + marry that girl, if she's prepared to put up with this level of discomfort, she's a keeper.
That was pretty wet! Amazing scenery though and some great drone footage

Really enjoyed following your trip, thanks for the videos
Loving the positivity here. I don't think I would be smiling after that much rain. 😂
You guys handle adversity with amazing aplomb…it's a trait that will serve you well in life!
Oops, Wasn’t first this time unfortunately. I’m just very focused nowadays because I’m in upper secondary school now and it’s a little more stressful now in the beginning. New school, new people, new boring stuff and the tiniest pinch of interesting subjects. I’ll be fine, just need some time to adapt. Anyways, how’s It going Tieran?
Embrace the suck. Well done on staying positive. After about the 3rd day of rain… Putting on the same wet clothes can really get you down.
Chapeau
