    1. Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Start at the ocean, finish ~45 miles later at 9,200 feet of elevation near the Visitor Information Center on Mauna Kea.

    2. Riding around Loch Ness is a really nice ride too. And pretty scenic as well: Uruquart castle on one side and a steep 5mile climb on the other, leading to an area whose desolation can rival Mt Ventoux’s

    3. Altho Im in Spain on the very south coast with great rides everywhere, one of the most continualy breathtaking views is topping the rise and seeing the Rock of Gibraltar on a beautiful morning

    4. Really enjoyed this video! Would like to see more videos about cycling destinations, maybe a bit more in depth look at Yorkshire Dales or North York Moors in the UK? Or maybe even Zuid Limburg in the Netherlands?

    5. Cirque de Gavarnie is one of my favourites, but if you're there be sure to pop up to the Cirque de Tromouse as well on the way down and make a day of it. About a 90km round trip from Luz St. Sauveur.

    6. The Großglockner (highest mountain in Austria) should be on this list. Theres also a race (Glocknerkönig) up there. The road is very good and although there are many tourists there the road is quite empty actualy. And I find Norway always a good country to cycle in. Especially Osterøy (also known as "Norway in a nutshell") is very beautifull with its roads! It is an island almost entirely surroundet by mainland and that is what i call very rare and cool.

    7. Great video. I've ridden Galibier and Ventoux and will ride Sa Calobra in May. I also live near the Yorkshire Dales so know them well. Would love to ride Stelvio as looks amazing.

    8. I expected to see something about Transfagarasan or Transalpina, the roads in Romania. At least Transfagarasan, which Jeremy Clarkson said it is the best driving road in the world. And if it's good for driving, i guess it's good for cycling, right?

    9. I think the bike ride around Crater Lake in Oregon is beautiful. There are a couple of Saturdays in September where the road is open to just bikes and walkers. I also enjoy the loop around Lake Tahoe if you can avoid the traffic.

    10. The Antrim Coast Road in Northern Ireland. Beautiful views with climbs up the Glens of Antrim if you so wish to tackle them. Also an area of outstanding beauty and one of the first stages in the 2012 Giro. Definitely worth it

    11. I don't know, cycling travel agents Bikecation apparently like steep barren rocks a lot. About half of their top 10 views are mountain climbs and passes that go above the vegetation line. Where are the lush, colorful, vivid landscapes such as the Adriatic coast of Croatia, Tuscany, Alpine valleys, the French Riviera, Slovenia or Basque Country, etc? Mt. Ventoux, Galibier, Gottard Pass, Stelvio are iconic climbs and great bucket list items for the challenge they pose, but are they really best views from bike?

    12. In the Pyrenees i loved the climb to lac de cap-de-long even more then the Aubisque (I would recommend this via ride trough the Pyrenees VROM argeles-gazost over col de soulor Gavarnie

    13. The best views I have are when a female rider inevitably passes me… great motivation to hold the wheel. Spend hours there if I had to, 20% incline for 2k no worries

    14. while driving to takepart in the marathons last year I managed to ride the st bernard pass between italy and switzerland,
totally stunning on the climb and the decent would have been perfect if my wife had managed to take a photo of me arriving at there top but she was in the shop buying a toy st bernard dog !

    15. The road from Zlatibor, Serbia, to Visegrad in Republika Srpska/Bosnia, is quite possibly the most awe inspiring road you'll never ride. Grey rock spires covered in primordial forest rising above you, waterfalls thundering into rivers below you, wooden villages presiding over tight hairpins and sanity loosening descents, ending on the bridge over the Drina. Or in a cafe for some fantastic coffee!

    16. Yep, Passo Dello Stelvio from Prato with 48 switchbacks is my favourite ride on FulGaz so far. SAN Gotthard Pass is magnificent. Ventoux next ride. I only ride uphill now.
      Yours faithfully,
      Alpine Dave
