    1. Great vid. We did some of that (Irun to Rochefort) a couple of weeks ago. Still sorting my videos out 😉 Those rough tracks between Marennes and Rochefort surprised us too. And we used a little boat to get over the Charente by the transporter bridge. In previous years we've done the rest up to St Malo and it was good to see your video of those places we enjoyed visiting then. Thanks for posting.

    2. Hi Dave
Really enjoyed this video and am thinking of doing this one next year. Did your route take you through busy tunnel sections out of Bilbao? Any tips or tricks now with hindsight for this journey if you were to do it again? Anyway of putting up a link to the GPX file for this route? Thanks

    4. enjoyed your video, I have cycled the Velo 1 three times now and on each occasion i have cross the Charente over the Disused Railway Bridge at Tonnay-Charente, due to the Transporter Bridge being repaired, and the little ferry not running, great film.

    5. Nice video. Cycle touring comes in many forms: light and fast like yourselves or completely self sufficient and various levels in between. All you really need is the urge to go!
I'm not too keen on the area around Les landes, too many trees and dead straight roads for me.
France is a wonderful place to cycle but nowadays we camp in one spot and explore the area around.
      Nice choice of music.
Safe travels for any future trips
