    ❌ Jaywalking in Denmark

jaywalking can and will earn violators a fine of 700DKK (€94.12; $108) in Denmark. Want to avoid an extra expense and locals’ judgmental looks? Make sure to stand on the pavement until the green-traffic light comes on

❌ Don’t Ride a Bike Before Getting Familiar with the Rules

Exploring Denmark on a bike is undoubtedly the best way to discover the country’s hidden spots. Before riding the two-wheeled vehicle however, make sure to understand the norms. Due to their strong-biking culture, locals use their bikes from an early age and follow specific rules in order to avoid any mishaps

    ❌ Don’t Drink and Bike-Ride in Denmark 🇩🇰

Another important rule concerning bike riding to keep in mind: riding a bike drunk can cost you 1500DKK (€201.69; $231). There isn’t a legal limit for alcohol intake, but if a policeman believes a rider is not sober enough to properly ride a bike, that person will not only get a fine but will have to leave their bicycle and walk home

❌ Don’t Assume Weed is Legal in Denmark 🇩🇰

Most travelers have already heard of Freetown Christiania and look forward to visit the famous-hippie district where open weed trade takes place. Keep in mind though, that possessing or smoking marijuana is illegal all over Denmark, including Christiania

❌ The Rules of Pusher Street in Christiania

At the entrance of Freetown Christiania, visitors will see a sign with the district’s rules. Sometimes foreigners don’t notice it or just ignore it but pay close attention. The sign clearly stresses that running and taking photos on Pusher Street isn’t allowed

❌ Don’t Interact with Danes’ Dogs

Danes prefer to be left alone unless they signal otherwise. Strangely enough, their dogs share the same look of disapproval when a stranger approaches them and starts petting them

    ❌ Don’t Take (Only) Flip-Flops to Denmark

When traveling to Denmark, make sure to add an extra sweater, a raincoat, and winter shoes no matter the time of year. Summer doesn’t always reach Denmark and even if it does, it may be for only a couple of days or merely hours

❌ Trying out your Danish Skills

Even after learning some Danish words and phrases online, chances are that locals won’t understand a thing. Danish is a very tricky language, and Danes are well aware of that

❌ Drink Beer not Spirits in Denmark 🇩🇰

Those planning to have a crazy night-out hoping to end up a bit tipsy while sweating it out on some club’s dance floor, make sure to drink beer all night long because spirits in Denmark are expensive. A 3cl (around 1 fl oz) alcohol drink costs approximately 70DKK (€9.41; $10)

    ❌ Don’t Call Danes Vikings

However, even though Danes are proud of their fearless ancestors who conquered many countries in western and eastern Europe from the late 8th until the 11th century, they probably won’t appreciate being called Vikings. Find a better way to start the conversation

❌ Don’t you Dare Say Roskilde Isn’t the Best Festival in Europe

Taking place in late June, Roskilde is the country’s biggest and most-beloved festival. For seven days, the small town of Roskilde becomes the hottest-meeting place for music fans from all over the world

❌ Resist the Urge to Peep

It’s an unspoken rule among Danes that privacy is to be respected at all times. That is probably why they rarely bother to close their windows or even hang curtains. While walking around in the streets of a Danish city, it’s likely to see floor-level buildings and houses that offer a clear view inside a bedroom or a living room

    2. Hi whats up anna denmark looks amazing I've been always dreaming about living in denmark the easiest way to travel to norway is by ferry from Copenhagen to oslo and yesterday I celebrated canada day I put my canadian shirt on to celebrate canada day and I hopefully oneday I'll move to canada for studies

    3. Going back to Kopenhagen in like 7 weeks, then on to Stockholm for 8 days and then drive to ❤slo can't wait🎉 Nice video Anna

    4. After a 2 week trip in Norway, went to Copenhagen for a few days, was so happy beer was only $8 a pint – after spending $15 for it in Norway, although I still love Norway.

    5. Must be Copenhageners who doesn't like being called vikings, everyone throughout the entire country would take it as a compliment.

    6. It's interesting how Scandinavian countries(🇳🇴🇸🇪🇩🇰) have many things in common in ethnicity similarity in language and in culture and social system too, it's like a separate family.
      🇧🇷🌻

    7. Anna, you crush it with enthusiasm and energy that is so lovely and becoming. Your videos are appointment viewing. Wishing you another Best Day Ever.

      ~Mark

    8. Not sure where you got the idea that we dont like being called Vikings, its simply not true. We dont mind being called Vikings.

    9. Thanks for bringing some attention to Denmark, I never thought of visiting the country (same as Netherlands or Belgium). But in Scandinavia I've been to Norway and I'm planning a trip to Sweden, so I'd love to see something on this country from yourself. 🤩

    10. People do cross the street all the time when it’s green. I pet people’s dogs and
I have never had anyone be mad at me. People talk to me instead. Never had a Danish person be mad at me calling them a Viking. Peeping is bad

    11. As a Dane, my all too early late father learned me to ride a bike. As now 75, he sadly died when I was only 6½, but I still rides bikes! Also very expensive bikes, as a Top Brompton folding bike (Actually a horrible bike on small wheels, but very handy for transport, as folded!) and a Superlight carbon MTB. The last is best when riding up a brick wall, in the low gears 😁

    12. OMG: Denmark is boring as FCK!! Please come back to Norway and make more videos here. How people can live in a flat country like Denmark WITH NOTHING NATURAL TO SEE is beyond me. Alcohol is cheaper there since it is sponsored by the danish government because you have to be drunk in order to stay there for more than 1 day. YACK!

    13. You are right about most of your points , but being Called a viking is okay with me ,
Proud viking heritage is this country , .

      Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🍻

    14. Close to the truth word for word😂 I think the lack of jaywalking is mostly to take kids into consideration and not teach them a bad and dangerous habit. Viking is not something we are, it is something we do 🎉😅🇩🇰🤟

    15. About interacting with the dogs of Danes, you can just ask politely. Usually, the answer will be no simply because the owner knows that if the dog actually bite or attack anybody, there is a good chance the dog will be put to death. Most dogs in Denmark are family dogs and may react unexpected to people they don't know or feel comfortable with.

    16. Don't drink and bike ride. In the Netherlands. Don't drive a car when you're drunk, but take the bike. Especially when you're too drunk to call a taxi.
