Avoid buying a disk brake road bike.
I started off with a specialized hybrid and stuck with hybrid ever since, I only go weekend riding prob about 35 miles each ride so about 70-80 miles a week, I’m finding my feet hurt when riding, yep I wear only lose fitting trainers
Any advice and or fix
Thanks
Damn! I wish I had a bike dealer like this around me in Germany.
shorter stems anyone
yea, thanks for complicating things and make me unable to do anything
Man I WISH I had seen this video before getting a road bike. I ended up getting one that was 49cm and would "aledgedly" be a good fit for me. Unfortunately it's top tube has 53cm and I am not having a good time looking for the right reach – which at this point is at the physical minimum 😢. Now I have a bike that is both expensive and hard to sell because of it's weird geometry, what a win lmao.
"Are you a 20 year old bike racer?" Daring times asking such a question. Maybe i feel like one. Am I one? Probably not. Buuuuuut loooooook aaaaaat thaaaaaat shiiiiiny race bike🤩!!!
Just like with Snowboarding, IMO the boots(shoes) are the most important piece of equipment.
Rambling and not saying anything helpful
Quick q: What currently is the cheapest 1x system that has rear wifi shifting? AND is there a pre-built bike that has it?
I take it y’all are in England and not the US. Might have to make a trip over the “pond”
I’m getting ready to buy a Cannondale SuperSix Evo 3. I’m 6’1 and I’ve been riding a 56 Dogma 2. The top tube on the Cannondale seems to be true to 56 size. I’m going to measure it in the shop. Also you’ve convinced me to buy new shoes as well. Great video!
laughs Not kidding but like an hour before I watched this video today, I pulled the trigger on a pair of Lake MX238s because I can't stand tiny, narrow plastic shoes which cover just about every other shoe in the universe. I feel less prone to crying into my empty wallet now. Great video, great advice.
Thank you so much guys, awesome real talk there❤
This is incredibly helpful
Bike fitting cost so much people skip it and just buy a bike close to fitting . If the fit was more affordable
more people would fit but the cost of it is crazy costly.
I’m 5ft 6. Inside leg 27inch. What size do I get? Lol. I’ve been looking at Trek duel sport 4. Should I be getting an xs? Great video.
Step one dont buy scott bike they are overpriced
About bike fit, would you buy a pair of jeans and then take them to a tailor?
Impressed am I – best informational clip I have ever seen on choosing the right bike!
Fantastic video, I'm looking for a bike – and now know sizing is not as simple as measuring my inside leg – you've probably just saved me a fortune in a buying a mis-sized bike. Will use a chunk of budget on bike fit and shoes first. Thanks guys!
Wow, 6’0 riding a 58cm. I know his back and knees were hurting
Is it still worth buying a secondhand 2014 Boardman Carbon Pro SLR for £400?
I remember looking at Canyons recommended sizing, it put me (at a smidge u der 6ft) on a 56cm equivalent. Having lookedat the geometry a d comparing to my old bike, two things were obvious:
1) it was 2cm higher at the front end
2) it was 2cm longer
Given i was comfortable on the existing bike, canyons size made zero sense!
Best video ever to watch before buy. It sure helped me with my thinking process of what is important. Thank you !
Just did my first Triathlon.
Does anyone else just love the way this guy speaks? He reminds me of my English teacher the unbothered but passionate human you remember forever.
