Time for a little sightseeing during my bike tour in Greece!

On day 3 of the Hercules Bike Tour, I took a loop route around Nafplion in Greece. The two key places I wanted to visit, were Tiryns and Lerna. You can read my blog post entry here – https://www.davestravelpages.com/tiryns-and-lerna-in-greece-hercules-bike-tour-day-3/

Tiryns is a Mycenaean Hill Fort which along with Mycenae itself is classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The connection with the Hercules myth of the 12 Labours, is that Hercules began and ended each labour from this place.

There’s quite a lot of footage of me walking around the archaeological site of Tiryns with commentary. Hopefully it gives you some idea what the site is like.

The second site of Lerna was less impressive, but vital on my mission to visit places in Peloponnese connected with Hercules and the 12 Labours. It was here, that Hercules was said to have defeated the Lernian Hydra.
