Austria is one of my new favorite countries! I recently returned from a road trip to the Austrian Alps and I want to show you my favorite places. I was blown away by the beauty of its mountains and lakes. It was also a lot less crowded than other places in the European alps! I hope this inspires you to visit the amazing country of Austria someday!

Also some minor corrections. The Grossglockner mountain isn’t the mountain at 1:53 but it can be seen from Pastereze Glacier. And for the Olperer hike, most people just hike to the hut (not to the peak) and enjoy some amazing Kaiserschmarrn (traditional Austrian dish)!

    5. "See" mens "lake" in german. so when you talk about the WolfgangSEE or GosauSEE or MondSEE, you can translate it as: Wolfgang lake, Gosau lake, Mond lake. Because "Wolfganglake lake sound weird i think! 😀

    6. Austria is a backward, corrupt, old-fashioned, right-wing little shitty country.
I emigrated from Austria and I hate this country. I had so many disadvantages from this backward country.

    7. Here are 10 more must-see places in Austria:
      1) Wachau: Rent a bike in Krems and cycle along the Danube to Weißenkirchen (or take a boat). It's a UNESCO world heritage site for a reason.
      2) Visit Southern Styria's wine area: Drive by car along the so called "Weinstraße" (wine road) from Ehrenhausen to Leutschach
      3) Visit the famous Green lake – a paradise for divers and hikers alike
      4) Bad Aussee: An incredibly beautiful village with a gorgeous lake.
      5) Go skiiing in Zürs/Lech. Some of the finest powder snow you'll ever see. And cheaper than Switzerland.
      6) Cycle along the Danube from Passau (German border) to Vienna. There's a perfect cycle path along the entire route, with fantastic infrastructure incl. restaurants and hotels.
      7) Innsbruck and Kitzbühel. Two stunning Tyrolean mountain towns. In winter they are a great base for skiing, in summer for hiking.
      8) Castle Hohenwerfen. One of the prettiest European castle. You might instantly recognize it from movies. Another must-see castle is Burg Hochosterwitz.
      9) Nuclear power plant Zwentendorf: The only fully functional nuclear power plant, that has NEVER been used, thus, it's the only place where you can actually visit the core.
      10) Eisriesenwelt (in Salzburg): The largest ice cave in the World. Stunning!
