You could try my secret method where I don’t ever wash my bikes. Like ever.Â
I just let them dry and wipe them down with a sacrificial rag. All the mud, dust and debris just falls right off and you’re left with a pretty clean bike.Â
As you know, a bike gets absolutely filthy within just a few miles, so why bother?

They’ve been doing construction near my work the past year. With the amount of rain recently it gets so damn muddy. It really is dirty bike season.

get a long front fender that goes almost to the ground and you’ll have none of that, it will also keep your chain much cleaner.
