Thanks so much to Peppermint Cycling for sponsoring this video. Love it’s a female specific brand that has some proper nice kit.

I can also rate the Signature bibs – I always rate a brand on their bibs as think you can get away with any jersey pretty much. And these bibs are great on long rides and super comfy.

Any questions ask in the comments 🙂 x

  1. Is Chantel related to Missy Elliott by any chance ? 😁
Time you spend hanging round while they "fix" their mechanicals, could've gone and circumnavigated Tasmania !
Great donkey sound effect vlog you two 🐴
    * Get well & back on the "horse" soon Juliet 🙏

  2. Chantal is awesome, great to see her on the channel! Looks like you need an xc bike to ride of Gozo island, very fun day trip though. Thanks for bringing us along!

  3. A great example of planning and perseverance in the face of them inevitable setbacks … ta very much for this fun and inspirational video. I definitely need a “next” adventure even though it would be my first. PS: I’ve been tubeless five years now … so far so good! 🚴‍♂️⛰️🌞

  4. We holiday in Malta in September, my wife and I love the country to holiday in but not cycling. Spoke to taxi driver about cycling and he said that Maltese driving is bad and this summer two cyclists were killed on the roads. Be safe and enjoy

  5. I'm not saying I live for your laugh, but (sorry) your donkey laugh at 7:21 is just the happiest, most wonderful life fulfilling thing! Long may the world hear it.

For a video titled "It all went so wrong" this is one of the most joyous videos – we love you (always feel I have to add "in a right and proper way" these days)

  6. Thanks for another great wee video Katie! I have had the gloopy mud problem here in Spain the last couple of weeks. Your enthusiasm for the two of you ia so refreshing! Take care and enjoy! Roger in Spain 77

  7. I absolutely hate getting sloppy mud on my shoes. So hard to clean. 😡 😡 😡. One time I tried to push through with my fat tire bike and got so much mud under my fender the wheel wouldn’t turn and I was at least 3 meters away from any “hard” ground. It took me well over an hour to get the wheel moving. 😅 😡 😢 😊 😝 😆

I love that you showered your bike. I wish I would have thought of that 👍👍

  8. As others have said, the Katie laugh is to die for. It would make a great ring tone for your smartphone! 😊 Chantal is a lot of fun. If I can be so forward as to offer her some advice. I have been using TPU inner tubes for about 3 years now. Tried a lot of brands. The best TPU tube I have ever used it's the new RideNow TPU tube. It has a threaded, metal stem with a removable valve core. Rides like a dream. Weighs only 36 grams. And folds up to the size of about 4 dates (yum-yum). I've ridden about 1000 km on the pair I bought several months ago. No punctures. Full disclosure. I ride 99% of the time on tarmac.

  9. pumping some air in a flat tube and listening for it escaping is usually quicker than just looking for the hole wont work well with big hole though…😀

  10. I knew you would end up going to Gozo. Our Katie loves a ferry ride. Kind of glad I gave Gozo a miss when I went, if it’s got mud bath roads.

  11. I promise you that you won't get in trouble, if you use those tire leavers to scrape the mud off your shoes and brake calipers. It would be better than that crumbling stick.😁

  12. Have you ever spent 5 minutes watching a riding buddy fix their puncture only to jump on your bike and realise one of your tyres has gone down too? Me? Never. No sirree.
