Since I don’t want to void may warranty (yet…) I needed to put together this abomination. It works fine, but it looks shit.
Really a bummer that they didn’t give the frame a spare port on the down tube. The GC7 has one..
I might enlarge one of the existing ports to add the cable for the dropper later.
Btw: Canyon support suggested I get a cable less dropper as a work around. Which costs half the bike. Lol.

Bit shitty I guess that they cheaped out on this. The 5 and 6 models seem to have no hole for a dropper and qr dropouts. The 7 and up models have thru axles and dropper routing holes.
Edit: I can understand the qr vs thru axle difference. They did drill a hole in the bottom of the seat tube it looks from your image to rout a dropper but not in the downtube. That downtube looks to be the same as the higher end frames, but without the cable routing hole
I have a gc5 and an externally routed dropper from the now defunct Brand X. My cable runs along the top tube. Not ideal but it is what it is.
