  1. at all times by rough sea – take your closes on, your parka und long underwear and have your life suit / west present if you are going to meal – or you can dy in cold water than you dont need your life vest

  2. As a sailor, I always help people in needs on sea, but when it comes to cruiseships, I'll probably trip and turn of the radio from channel 16, no help from me, because I didn't hear your distress call.

  3. Right now, Oct.9, 2024 Viking Neptune is headed too close to Cat. 5 hurricane trying to dock at Ft. Lauderdale. We got off at NY on 7th. Wondering why continue?! Watching to see what happens.

  4. So many people have tried to get me to go with them on cruises throughout the years. These videos have been my fear of being out there and drowning. There is no land to run up a hill. I used to dream of drowning on a ship, so absolutely no cruises for me, EVER!!!!

  5. Every since the "unsinkable" Titanic its been obvious that man was not meant to be crammed into super ships out on the open oceans. One sure way to get rid of large amounts of ppl at one time. Glad I've never been on one and never has the desire to either. Same goes with flying, not made for man!

  6. I’m very impressed by how quick and professional the distress call was.
Everybody responded promptly and knew exactly what to do.
If only we had professionals like these at the Sewol sinking, things would’ve turned out much better

  7. How would there have been a 1000 dead is the ship washed shore and hit the rocks…? A ship cant sink when there is only 10m below the keel…. the captain had to save the vessel to avoid the cost of a damaged vessel to the company. But yes, run by entertainment- and they do not follow the rule of law….

  8. And the fault was owners of the cruise and capitans-they knew they will be some storm or hurricane and they should cancel!!But they preferred to put people in danger to not loose money from tickets.

  9. That first scene sent chills down my whole body. From my face down to my toes. F the ocean. F a cruise. I’ll stick to land and leave the ocean to the fishes… and monsters that live in the deep 👀

  10. The vessel Havila/Ocean Clever was designed to meet UK 300 person offshore rescue standards. It was a rescue “mother ship” and had substantial ocean towing capability; gotta git away from them rocks. . . There’s the French multi mission heavy weather rescue vessels; flagship Abeille Bourbon, and the Spanish rescue salvage system; flagship Clara Campoamor. The Clever was 120 bollard pull on good days and such AHTS vessels are up to 170 ton bollard pull now. I have a shallow appearance based aesthetic; the heavy weather vessels of today are ugly to me but they work in real bad weather. And whether chaos is the order of the day; be prepared. I also remember getting aboard the Encounter Bay and seeing that 2 1/2 inch steel plate that got it through antarctic ice. A vessel I wanted to put new engines in. MSF had rescue vessels in the Mediterranean with hospitals in them along with Seawatch. Captain Paul Watson is in prison in Greenland; as usual the prosecutor hates him. What a man!! Let’s help Paul out.

  11. Why did I even click on this? The second I saw it was a news channel I should've known it will be sensationalized. The YouTubers who specialize in covering nautical disasters do such a better job. This is why media is dying.

  12. When I see the North Sea, I think of that song with the singer's deep scary voice actually singing about the North Sea. I would never!!!! Hoist the Colours, the song from Pirates of the Caribbean 3!!!!
