20 year-old bike…. I would want to check all the bearings. Wheel bearings are cheap to service…IF you have the tools and skills. At a shop…. Likewise steering head and BB. That’s likely got a sealed bottom bracket…. Not too expensive to replace but again you need proper tools for removing the cranks and the BB.
