Paramount is literally the best bikes Schwinn ever made. Depending on when they were built in house or contracted by top builders.

Have a problem here. The Schwinn Paramount was their top road bike. ROAD BIKE. That is definitely NOT a road bike. A true Schwinn Paramount was built by Waterford Cycles and was a top notch road bike. That bike doesn’t say Schwinn on it.

  4. Awesome, too small for me. I am jealous. I need to sell a bike before I can buy a bike. I would ride it.

  5. Nice bike. How much? Those older trigger shifters can sometimes be problematic. That seat looks beat.

  6. People are really hard on the pdg series bikes but they are still inexpensive and nicely made frames! It also says paramount on it haha which I think makes them cool

  7. It’s about the same quality as a Rockhopper or a Trek 930. Decent steel frame, I’m gonna guess it was built in Taiwan. The nicer versions of PDGs had lugged frames and were built in Japan.

PDG was an attempt by Schwinn to upscale the Schwinn brand.

Also, the chainstay on the drive side is curved on purpose, I believe it’s to avoid chain slap. And maybe for some supposed effect on ride quality, it was called G-force chainstays

Tapered fork legs so kind of hot, but dual dropped stays so not that hot. Single-wall rims . $180 tuned up at the co-op. I had a series 90 with the purple paint job… That bike was hot. 10/10 would send though.
