  1. It’ll be fine, i rode without a single spoke, steel frame, 80kg and 2kg of laptop, lunch snd shoes to work everyday for a year.

Whoever ‘trued’ that wasn’t paying attention 😂

You should tell them in case they try to say it was you when returning it.

On a 36 spoke wheel I wouldn’t be concerned unless the load is heavy. But that wheel doesn’t have a lot of spokes in the first place. I’d be concerned because in gear optimized for weight and air resistance the tolerances might be much smaller.

The only forgiving aspect is that it’s the rear wheel, even a complete and sudden failure has lower risk of catastrophic harm to you than a front wheel failure.

I’d ride it carefully and as little as possible before fixing it, like to the LBS.

  4. They don’t tell you this but you actually don’t need any spokes. They’re just there for peace of mind

  5. Ugh these Aksium wheels are fucking annoying. I wouldn’t ride that. I doubt the spoke tension is good throughout the wheel.

  6. Looks like an incense stick! Is that both twisted and weathered out? On my mtb bike (aluminum 25 mm wide rim) one busted and the wheel was out of true. Certainly a pain to replace for a DIYer. Did buy a tension meter (low end) and it helps for adjustments.
