I am so so close to having this bike rack fixed onto my bike… my problem now is that the bottom bracket for the rack is straight and would need to be bend to go over the rim brakes.
my question also what are these screws called that go inside the brake holes? If i were to remove the front brake, i would like to purchase similar type of screws to be hidden into the hole.
i am most likely going to have a bike shop bend it. but i was excited to finally have all the hardware to install the rack

I posted something very similar the other day but for a cable hanger… it’s a recessed nut. The hole on the back side of the fork was too small for the recessed nut and most recommendations were to drill the hole wider. Was easy… just used two different sized bits to work up to the right size.
Don’t know the exact name for the bolt… usually an M5 Bolt with a recessed hex. I looked for longer “bike bolts” at a few hardware stores… none had them. They seem common in a lot of products that come with very specific ones.
What kind of bike do you have there?
Barrel nut.
You shouldn’t have to replace it for fitting your rack though 🤔
