Its only on the drive side that it doesnt slip down. Can i just pry it a little?

  2. Seems like it should be able to fit. I would just wiggle it a little whilst pushing it down. Maybe flip the bike around so you can push the frame onto the wheel.

  3. Maybe I’m wrong (if someone can confirm it, please be my guest), but isn’t it a Thru-axle wheel/hub on a quick release frame?

I just learned about that a couple of weeks ago while researching for a wheel upgrade to my bike

Initially wondered if rear endcaps made it onto the front hub and that’s why it doesn’t fit but it’s obvious it’s rear/rear.

The main thing I notice is the derailleur hanger seems to not sit flush with the dropouts so I wonder if it’s the original or a slightly off replacement. That’s what I would check but otherwise I bet you can just force the wheel in there without consequence.

If changing end caps is out of the question, i would just file down the dropouts a tad to let the wheel slide in/out a bit easier. You don’t want to be stuck with a flat somewhere and not be able to remove your wheel because it’s so snug
