Birmingham City council wants to crack down on anti-social cycling to help protect pedestrians. They’ve specifically raised concerns about food and parcel delivery drivers on e-bikes.
A report has suggested adding cycling to a list of anti-social behaviours, like graffiti and street drinking – it could mean cyclists are restricted to certain times, or even banned altogether.
But campaigners are worried it’ll just push bikes onto busy roads – and punish people who are trying to choose environmentally friendly travel.

Who will enforce the ban. Police cant get shoplifters so they ain't gonna be bothered about cyclists.
They should definitely ban Jeremy
Where did they find these 3 idiots
Or ban lecky bikes
All bikes no matter type ebikes or normal bikes they all should have to have tax and insurance
They dart about all over the roads to get through traffic on pavements and through red lights, but if they get hit by a driver it's never the cyclists fault.
Personally I'm far more uncomfortable and concerned when I'm driving and I'm in close proximity to a cyclist on a busy road than I am when I'm walking and see a cyclist/scooter on the pavement. With the exception of infants and very young children it's not like a cyclist can crash into someone without seriously hurting themselves which the Auriol Grey "get off the pavement" manslaughter case showcases.
I do find them annoying and it forces you to be on your toes when you're walking around but if people living in a pedestrianised city centre want takeaway then you need these guys going around on bikes.
cyclist should have a cycle license and insurance
Drivers are a lot more dangerous. Especially Audi and bmw drivers. 😂 ban them?
A war on cyclists lol. This country is a joke full of idiots
The cyclist killed was not on a pavement, she was on a shared use cycle/footway.
Please get your facts right Jeremy, smh.
i would ban mobility scooters!!!
Ban cycling on the pavement not on the road and police that don't enforce the law are guilty of a failure to fo their duty as to often we see police officers fail to ticket selfish dangerous cyclists who ride on the payment
Well lets say you Ban Cyclists ..then its only fair to also ban BMW and Audi drivers ..not All cyclists are bad and not all BMW and Audi drivers are bad …its not the bike or the car …..its the person who rides or drives them .
If cyclists are classed as a vehicle they should be insurance, taxed,MOT’ed, and not be able to go on pavement.
