  1. I’m always on the lookout for bicycle collectives when I travel. If I ever get to Portland it will be like going to heaven

I know that place!!! it’s where a few years ago I bought my first bike as an adult after not touching a bike since my teens, and they were so lovely and helpful in getting me a bike that worked for me. 10/10 experience

  3. For those asking: Community Cycling Center in Portland, Oregon. It used to have a much bigger sales floor that got converted to wrenching/teaching space. Great place to find fun bits at decent prices.

  4. Re-Buy-Cycle Shop in Langford, BC is like this. It’s a bunch of old punks giving away bikes to children and recycling/rebuilding old bikes. 10/10 shop.

  5. I’ve been going there for years and have bought so many parts there. Unfortunately they’re really struggling financially. I hope they’re able to stay open.

  6. That place is pretty great, also take a look at bike farm. Also CCC has a garage right around the corner from Bike farm that seemed to only be open a couple hours around 10am on Sundays that has several overfill stuff from this shop. They have frames and wheels and such.

  7. When I was in elementary school my parents enrolled me in an after school program at the CCC where I built my own bike from scratch. Taught me everything I needed to know about bike maintenance.

20 years later I’m still cycling every day. Thanks CCC.
