I've been working on this bike for a couple weeks as a hobby project and was just wondering how much I'd be able to sell it for? I've definitely spent more than I anticipate the bike is worth (a total of $150 CAD on the bike and parts) and the frame paint and stickers are a bit scratched but I thought I'd post here to see if I have anything of value.

Here are the specs:

Model: Raleigh Record (mid-late 80s?)
21 inch frame (medium)
5-speed freewheel
2x chainring
Suntour downtube shifters
Suntour front derailleur
Shimano tourney rear derailleur

There’s no particularly kind way to say this, so I’ll give it to you straight.

My first ever bike (as an adult) was a mid-1980s Raleigh Record, nearly identical to yours. I bought it because I knew nothing about bikes, and as soon as I learned anything about them, I realized it was just about the very bottom of the barrel. It’s a little better than a department store bike, but not much.

You do not have anything of value there. I’m glad to hear you’ve been learning skills working with it, because that’s the main value I got out of my own Raleigh Record. Good luck selling it, but do not hope for much.
