I hate to burst your bubble but those things are garbage. You cant fill a bottle or carry water. You pretty much need to break your neck to get close enough to use it. There are many great squeeze filter options including one by life-straw that would make a better option.
Better upset at some random online then dead in the bush.

Of all the things I would want to mount on my front forks a place that might well get very covered in shit and/or impacted on things. The thing that gives me drinking water is not one of them. I would be worried about damaging it, losing it or just getting it completely covered in crap. It’s cool you used a bike pump mount to hold the thing but I’m not sure it’s entirely practical in the real world.
Plus I think a Sawyer or a Katadyn filter is a lot better.
I am sorry to piss on your bonfire with this comment, but I figured it’s better to consider this advice than to lose or break your filter and be stuck drinking unsafe water.

I guess my text didn’t make it.
Here is a solution to bring a lifestraw on your bike using a 1UP EDP pump mount.
I believe in **redundancy** in water filtration, I’m not advocating to use this as your only water source, but this is an easy way to pack an emergency *extra* water solution. The location on the fork is just for demonstration purposes.
