  1. Paying $50k+ for the Bugatti badge. People who can afford the car probably don’t care.

Ironically the carbon wheels are photoshopped.

    Material Carbon Fiber

    Weight Under 5kg

Production run Limited to 667 Pieces

    Manufacturer Kussmaul

    Design Bugatti

    Development PG Bikes

    Still overpriced

  3. The rear triangle is really putting a lot into the “strength of carbon fiber”. Maybe it so expensive so that you don’t want to ride it and risk the danger?

  4. “Hey, if they’re stupid enough to pay $10M for a Chiron, they are DEFINITELY stupid enough to pay $55K for a fixed-gear branding exercise.”

  5. Perhaps this is so they can have that Rule. The Velominati, the rules! Bikes on top of the car, must be worth more than the car they are on top of 🫨🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. Limited availability, collectible, the badge. If you’re the kind of person who can drop $3M on a car you will likely never drive more than 5k miles, $55k doesn’t seem that unreasonable for an extremely boutique bike you’ll never ride. You hang this on the wall, or put it in a museum.

  7. I did some quoting work on a similar project for Aston Martin. Depending on how deep they go with it, you can end up with a bike that does cost a shocking amount. Tooling costs spread across a tiny run, inserts in small batch numbers, trying to manufacture visual quality tubes in 2×2. All the nonrecurring costs for design etc won’t have a chance to get lost in production. Got to assume the paint will be done to higher than normal standards too.
It won’t be $55k, but it will be fucking expensive to make compared to a normal bike

  8. So….I guess you can put a bike rack on a Bugatti Chiron.

    Good to know.

I passed on the Veyron for that reason.

It would be kind of fun to watch Sam Pilgrim take it down a double diamond track and trash it.

  10. OnlyCommentWhenTipsy on

1 chain stay, plus 1 seat stay on the opposite side? that’s going to handle like shit. chain side flexing up and down with opposite side flexing front to back? trash

  11. A run of 667 with all carbon? It wasn’t cheap to make this. No doubt they marked it the hell up because it’s Bugatti but it wasn’t cheap. I don’t know why any serious cyclist would want a carbon fibre fixie but there are rich people out there with too much money. And it looks kind of cool.

  12. what’s up with the cable? it looks like it’s coming out of an unreal super thin brake lever going into the fork to neither a rim brake nor a disc brake?

  13. Because nothing says “I’ve got more money than I know what to do with” than a $55K bike 👍

  14. What crappy bike. I would rather have 5 TDF bikes in various sizes so i can invite 4 friends on a ride

  15. OK I’ll bite. If I was a billionaire I would still drive a prius when I need but I would commute on this.

  16. This exists to get people like OP to post about it and then people like you and me to read it and comment on it. They don’t plan to sell any at all.

    Also it’s fugly.

  17. Well, lucky for me I can at least have it finished to match my Chiron, which is currently being built. 🤣

Jeez, that’s some slick marketing. I also want to know what the hell that cable is for. Dropper seat post maybe for when the urban jungle gets gnarly? 😂 A fool and their money….
