Tour De France 2025 Is BUILT To DESTROY Tadej Pogačar

The 2025 Tour de France route has just been announced, and from what the organizers have leaked so far, the route’s got pretty much every single climb where Pogačar had suffered in the past years, and on the opposite end, all the ones where Vingegaard’s had the highlights. All this suggests that not only riders, but also the race organizers are working hard to try and make the Tour more exciting, without the inevitable Pogačar dominance. So, could the route be hard enough for Pogačar to crack, and lose valuable minutes to his biggest rivals, given the form he’s currently in? And does a stage Pogačar couldn’t dominate even exist?

  1. Any cycling aficionado who have closely followed the races this season would tell you otherwise. My take is the only chance anyone beating Pogi is Pogi himself not doing the TDF😅

  2. Am I living in the past right now? Has 2024 season never happened? Mountain finishes and long climbs are supposed to work against Pogacar? Seriously, have you guys even watched this year’s Tour or Giro? It will be a freaking surprise if Pogacar doesn’t win all the mountain finishes, for god’s sake. Yes, he struggled at times in the past. But, also in the past, he didn’t know how to tie his shoelaces. Or how to walk. But as we saw, that was in the past. If Pogacar is anywhere near the form he had in 2024, he will absolutely dominate 2025 Tour.

  3. Big 4? There is no big 4, there’s the Big 2 and then a bunch of plucky antagonists. Remco is not even close to the level in the mountains as Pogi and Jonas and Roglic is heading into the twilight of his career and creates his own bad luck by poor positioning.

  4. Pogi has gotten better with the long stages in the heat that used to be his kryptonite. His fueling strategy is also way better. His only 'weak day' on this years Tour was the one where he let Jonas win the stage in the uphill sprint. I'm guessing he was getting data to see what Jonas could do.

He also doesn't have the duo of Roglic and Jonas on the same team to ride against. UAE are stronger, Visma aren't as strong. As long as he's in remotely the same shape as this year, he can seperate Jonas and the other guys from their teams at will.

Stage 2 will need close attention. Coastal stages and the short sharp climbs will bring interesting racing.

  5. Watts, you need to take into account that in 2022/3 Tadej was riding almost all by himself against a very strong VLB that attacked at every opportunity. Now, the scenario have changed. UAE is now the strongest team with the strongest rider????

  6. Nice, lets hope no one has an accident before and during the tour. would be the best way to see which rider is trully the best. we all have the (Jonas had an accident) argument on the head from this year.

  7. You are bugging mate.. No one is going to DESTORY Pogačar… Pogačar will be doing the DESTORYING like hes been doing… He is an Alien or did you forget?

  8. I think Vingegaard will be stronger again in 2025 after full recovery from his accident but Pogacar still to me is favourite no. 1 for the Yellow Jersey next year – he will be prepared for the whole thing very well.

  9. I don't think its the route thats deciding the TDF, at really depends on how good vinegaard is. I beleive that Vingegaard will be on a very high level, and high enough to challenge pogi

  10. Really? After his improvements from 2023 to 2024 where he noticeable improved his weakest points and it looks like there are none anymore, someone still has the courage to talk about rout profiles that are built to destroy Pogi. Sorry but to me it just sound as a click bait title and it makes me laugh.
