Mark Cavendish sprinted to victory in the final race of his career at the Singapore Criterium. The Brit, who announced the race would be his last, brought the curtiain down on his illustrious career with another victory. Cavendish’s career has seen him claim a record 35 Tour de France stage wins and his swansong win in Singapore was the 166th of a 19-year professional career.

  1. Slightly spurious sprint, but who cares – for his services to cycling it was only appropriate for him to win and the peleton felt that too. Good on all of them. Congrats to Mark on a golden career, loved following you. I'll miss the Manx Missile.

  2. Its scripted. Philipsen as the lead out man for the manx missile…. what a great way for the peloton to honor the sprinting legend…. almost 20 years in the pro peloton…. not easy, not easy. enjoy your retirement, Sir Mark Cav.
