In this episode, I document my experience purchasing a bike in Copenhagen, Denmark. I discuss my fears about bike riding in this city. Also, I get into my background and the 3 main reasons I left my life in the United States of America to move to Denmark. You also might learn a few new Danish words while watching.
If you’re new to the channel, hi! I’m an American who just moved abroad from Atlanta, Georgia to Copenhagen, Denmark with my Swedish husband and two small dogs. Follow along with me as I discover all the wonderful things this Danish capital city has to offer. View this city from an expat’s point of view. I will be posting my new discoveries weekly here on YouTube every Sunday. Enjoy!

🧡🪴, 🧡🚴🏽♀️, 🧡🎄👕, 🧡🧡🧡🤱🏾 plans.
Love that you and hubby found a place you can call home and flourish in every aspect.
Questions:
How is Copenhagen pronounced there? I noticed the plant shop had what looked like the true spelling??
Are there more bike riders than drivers?
Can you share the video you use to learn the language?
🧡
I`m so impressed with your danish, your pronunciation, it`s almost spot on, amazing in such a short time. I hope you will be happy here and have a family, we can always use intelligent people like you🙂
Everybody learns at their own pace, but you're doing great, at this speed you'll probably be close to fluent in 6-9 months 👏👏👏. Super valid reasons for moving, over the last decade i've seen more & more Americans settle down in both Europe & Asia. All the best from Østerbro ❤
Welcome to Denmark, thats a very brave decision to move to a foreign country.
The long dark winters can be tough for most people, specially at times where you miss your family and people in America. But there is also a quiet cosy quality in a warm living room, when it's cold and dark outside, hope you will find that quality.
Good luck with learning danish, it's a horrible language to learn😁
But your pronunciation is very very good, you must have a good ear for that👍
Hope you will like it here, nice and clever people are always Welcome.
Danes are Morons, when it comes to following cycling rules. But at least they know what there doing wrong, when they get a 150$ fine. We like tourists, but we really hate tourists, who have no clue, or even wanna get a clue about learning to cycle in Copenhagen. If your not used to cycling in major city, this is not the place to learn. Your just gonna piss of the locals 🙄 ! ASAADA. I guess your in good hands and someone is teaching you everything you need to know! Otherwise.., this link is a fast lecture about riding a bike in DK:
