🌪️ You’ve probably heard of hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, cyclones, and monsoons, but do you know the differences between them? 🌊 Let’s break it down! Hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones are actually the same phenomenon—massive tropical storms that form over water. The only difference is where they form: hurricanes in the Atlantic and northeastern Pacific, typhoons in the northwestern Pacific, and cyclones in the South Pacific and Indian Ocean. Interestingly, cyclones rotate in the opposite direction because they form in the Southern Hemisphere. Tornadoes, on the other hand, are smaller but incredibly powerful rotating columns of air that form only over land, with the United States being a hotspot. 🌪️ And then there are monsoons—seasonal winds that bring heavy rains, especially in South Asia, where they play a crucial role in shaping the climate and agriculture. 🌧️

I feel bad for anyone who didn’t know the difference between a monsoon, tornado, hurricane and cyclone
BULL SHIT BUDDY
Thank you for that. ❤
Philippines:"bruh I'm the gate of typhoons bruh"
Wait how have I survived a Hurricane Tornado and cyclone but live in the US I survived those in Illinois
Yeah. In Nepal, whenever it's like summer or stuff like June, July, August, we call it monsoon season because it rains. It mostly rains during the ends of June and beginning of July. My birthday is in July so I did get to go anywhere or invite anyone to my party this year because it was raining so heavily. There were floods and a lot of properties and houses got destroyed. And some streets were filled sewer water because they overflowed since there was just that much rain.
Did you know that the Philippines is the top 1 typhoon danger and the super typhoon Yolanda killed so many people and the Philippines are calm becuz they have dealt with it
R.I.P PHILIPINES
I knew what all of these were except for monsoons. Thanks for the info!
iran is safe against all of them 😅
The Philippines: Cool. We'll take two of those, thanks.

Man USA is tornados target
Tornado is gone in philippines but
TYPOONS ARE THE PROBLEM
Some people say tornadoes are small even though the biggest tornado was 2.6 miles wide and the tornado was named:El Reno Tornado in May 31 2013

This video is better than any geography lesson I ever had. Yes we learn about weather in geography
If the water starts sucking up water, it’s now a waterspout
If a tornado starts sucking up water, it’s now a waterspout
Hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones are the same of many hurricanes
Tornadoes usually form when dark clouds cover the sky and coin rain begins even about hail Falls from the sky and a funnel touches the ground
Monsoons are seasonal wins that change direction every year
Monsoons also bring heavy amounts of rain
🌀 Typhoons

I love the Atlantic ocean's shape.

Bro what about Germany it feels like it's always April bc in April is the craziest weather in Germany
Oh jadi paham gue 😮
The difference is MEMES, JACK! THE DNA OF THE SOUL
Just to add: a cyclone is any kind of large scale low pressure system. So cyclones, typhoons, and hurricanes are all tropical cyclones meanwhile you have extratropical cyclones which are called windstorms in Europe or Nor’easters in the Northeast United States
If the first three have defined areas, what is something formed anywhere other than those called?
