Episode 7 of my bike tour in Greece. My cycling route in Greece was based on places mentioned in the legend of Hercules and the 12 Labours.

On day 7 of my Hercules Bike Tour around the Peloponnese, I cycled from Kalavrita to Olympia.

This was always going to be a tough day – over 100kms with 1200 metres of total ascent. It was also going to always be a very scenic one!

In this bike touring vlog, I share with you some video taken whilst cycling in the Peloponnese, showing the mountains and landscape, as well as the occasional goat.

I also talk a little about how I strategically designed my lifestyle so that I can be location independent when it comes to working. This enables me to travel a lot more than if I had a 9-5 job, meaning that I can do more of the things I love – such as cycling up mountains in Greece!

    1. Awesome is a word you could have substituted. Thoroughly enjoyed this ride Dave. I don't know if it was the exhilaration of the ride or the can or Monster, but you seemed to be buzzing as you arrived in to Olympia.

    2. Thanks for sharing. Shall have to add Greece to the long list of countries to visit. The cycling looks great with stunning scenery. Thanks for being so candid with your work life balance. Working three days a week sounds very attractive.

    3. This episode was stunning. Looks like you had a great day. I really like your blog, YouTube channel and your reviews. They're really positive. I was a bit disappointed when you said "I'm having lunch in this taverna", showed the table but didn't show the food 🙁 would've been great to see a Greek salad or something! Super day, Dave. Goat giving zero fucks, lol 🙂

    4. Hey, I am going to get a bike since i am going to tour from Sweden to Spain in August, would the Trek touring 920 be a good choice? (Where I live last years model is 50% off)

    5. I’ve just rewatched this video again, and why wouldn’t you, I spotted what I think is the moon right behind you Dave in that closing clip.

    6. Hey Dave .. Beautiful trip and really well made videos. I like your attitude and way of thinking .. I have a question .. Did you ever encounter dogs in your journey there? From my experience (I 'm greek by the way) there are occasionally stray dogs, in cities, towns and villages, but they 're usually friendly, and even if not, they 're usually not much of a problem.. Might bark, but won't do anything .. However, shepherd dogs are a different story. They 're usually tough and won't let you pass .. Have you met any? What did you do? I immediately thought about it when I saw the goats, although you 'd find them guarding sheep usually ..
