Ingierstrand Beach is located about 25 minutes southeast of downtown Oslo on the Bunnefjord in Oslofjord. The western side of the beach has large flat flagstones, which are surprisingly comfortable to lay on. While the eastern side has sand and grass areas. The entire bathing area, including the showers, were designed in the modernist style of the 1930s. It’s a perfect place to bring a picnic and grill, but you can also eat at the Ingierstrand Bad Restaurant or purchase food from the kiosk. If you’re interested in hiking, check out the Ingierstrand loop, which will take less than an hour.
