The Tour DuPont was a cycling stage race in the United States held annually between 1989 and 1996, initially called the Tour de Trump in the first two years. It was intended to become a North American cycling event similar in format and prestige to the Tour de France. The tour’s names came from its sponsors, first the businessman Donal Trump and then later DuPont.

  1. When the race was discontinued there was a lot of surplus kit from it that got sold at a steep discount. I picked up a couple of Giordana jerseys for way below retail back then, and still have and wear them as they're still in decent shape. Thankfully they were from the TdD era and not the TdT one.
