    1. The last time I was in Germany I spent most of my summer in Düsseldorf. This makes me want to take a vacation to the german countryside so I can eat good food and have some excellent Beer. Can't wait for travel to be open worldwide!!

    2. Lovely video! Duderstadt Rathaus reminds me of the Göttingen Rathaus. Beautiful! I studied in Göttingen during the summer of 1991, thirty years ago. I look forward to going back and taking my husband and kids to see this beautiful area. We were going to travel throughout Germany this summer… but travel plans had to be postponed. Please make more videos like this one showing the countryside and also images of Duderstadt and nearby towns and villages.

    3. As a dutch woman it's so funny to hear that we are known as the 'camping people' in Germany.
Germans are known as 'hole diggers' in the Netherlands when you come to our beaches in the summertime 😂

    4. Hey, guys. That was a super video. I love the German villages you went through. Phil, Christie Vincit is "Christ is victorius!"

      Vielen Dank!

    5. I’m originally from Northeim, and I keep telling people my home area is just a bunch of (usually brown) fields. You made Niedersachsen look nice.

    6. The little church 3:10 is not that old. It dates back only to the late 19th century. Its architecture is neo-romanesque, not medieval.
Perhaps consider bike riding along the river Weser from Münden to Hameln during springtime or summer (canoeing would also be an option). There are castles, 1000 year old churches (Corvey, 8th century AD!), medieval towns, palaces, even a traditional china factory and beautiful landscape.

    7. Wow! Germans seem to be very good at keeping the landscaping neat and trimmed. I enjoyed the animals; especially the cat because it looked like mine.

    8. Goal one day is to bicycle trip all of Germany. Got to do some rides a few years back and was such a beautiful ride and met so many nice people on the trail. One family who had apple orchard gave us tour and then let us fill our bags with fresh of the tree apples. Great way to explore and meet the locals.

    9. Thanks so much for the tour of the countryside. I am like Deana, I like to see the different styles of architecture and what is typical there. It is something to think about seeing buildings and businesses hundreds of years old. The U.S. is such a young country, it adds a different feeling to think people lived there 1,000 years ago and even more. I experienced the same thing when we were in Japan. (Suggestion: when editing, allow an extra second or two for a cut. One hardly has time to orient to the shot and you are cutting to another. I'd rather the video be another couple of minutes so I can enjoy the individual views more.)

    10. @Deana and Phil Phil says, "Nice ride, my butt hurts." I worked at a bike shop in a tourist area. Every summer tourists would stop in to get their bikes worked on, compare us to their shop at home, or ask about scenic rides in the area. One day two guys in their 60s stopped in on their afternoon ride. They were asking about different rides other than the ones that had already done. One guys says to me "every time I go riding with him I end up with a sore butt!" My response was "hey, we don't want to hear about your sex life." The guy turned 50 shades of red and his friend was dying laughing.

I'm on my 3rd e-bike, upgrading each time. I love my Bosch powered e-bike, it goes up to 45kph/28mph. I use it mostly for shopping and transportation, lots of fun.

    11. I live near Göttingen and used to live in the eastern part of the Eichsfeld, so I know this area very well. Nice to see it in this video 🙂
