      Depending on which part of Belgium you are in, "Dank u wel" / "Dank je wel" works perfectly fine, the Flandrian parts speak Dutch, the Wallonian parts do not (secretly they do, but will never admit it 🙂)

      @5:32: that looks like the Duvel factory / depot, a great Belgian landmark, but indeed at that time you are discussing Belgian roads / cycling paths and these can be horrendous indeed. There was this huge (not kidding!) pothole on the E19? going South to France 19 years ago. It scared the hell out of me. Last time we went o France (2019), IT WAS STILL THERE! Halfway through Belgium, a song pops up into my head every time… Its is Mike Oldfield: "Never going to get to France"…

      I feel that heat and humidity pain! Where I'm currently living for work in China just has been brutal with those same temperatures day after day. Admittedly I can't ride everyday.

      Just got back from my first bike tour of Brittany.
