The adventure begins! After six months of preparation, we’re finally setting off on our 2,750 km cycling journey from Lommel (Belgium) to Tarifa (Spain), the southernmost point of continental Europe. Today’s 57 km route leads us through charming Belgian roads and brings unexpected reunions, heartfelt farewells, and historical reflections.
We kick off our first day with a bit of wobbling under the weight of our fully loaded bikes. An unexpected, heartwarming send-off by my parents and later support from friends remind us that even in the rain, kindness shines through. Along the way, we discover a memorial commemorating one of Belgium’s worst industrial disasters in Tessenderlo.
As we navigate cobblestone roads and explore the lush nature reserve of Webbekomsbroek, we marvel at the landscapes that only hint at what’s yet to come. Exhausted but exhilarated, we finally reach Bekkevoort for the night, where warm hospitality and a cozy garden barbecue close out our first day on the road.
Join us on this incredible adventure and see where the journey takes us next!

Leuke video… Benieuwd om jullie te volgen! Heb zelf ook interesse in jullie traject.
It is a great adventure. I am looking forward to the videos of your journey.
Oh that is something I would definitely sign up for!!!!
Congrats on the awesome journey guys!
